Corey Grant (D.G.A, W.G.A, p.g.a.) was born in Joliet, Illinois. He attended Norfolk State University in Virginia where he received his BA in Communications. After graduating and working for NBC, he decided that film was his ultimate goal and he moved to Washington, DC to attend Howard University to receive his Masters in Film. After graduation he moved to Hollywood to take his film career to the next level. Corey Produced, wrote and directed Dysfunctional Friends, starring an ensemble cast including Meagan Good, Wesley Jonathan, Essence Atkins among others. Corey’s follow up film which he Produced and Directed, The Lost Coast Tapes, saw him go in a completely different direction as he entered the mainstream horror arena. The found footage thriller was received well as it was picked up for worldwide distribution and was released in the fall of 2012.

In 2015, Corey Directed (credited) and produced (uncredited) the romantic comedy, SISTERCODE; which released theatrically, starring Amber Rose, Drew Sidora, and Amin Joseph.

Corey Wrote, Produced, and Directed ILLICIT, an erotic thriller starring David Ramsey, Vivica A. Fox, McKinley Freeman, Tank, Shireen Crutchfield and more. It was released in theaters and to BET in 2017. In May of 2020, Corey released the first season of his TV Show “PUMP, ” in which he produced, and co-created. PUMP is a comedy that follows the antics of a dysfunctional group of fitness trainers in a gentrified Inglewood California. Corey’s latest projects include , a Sci-fi thriller set in 2035 which will release in 2023 entitled ATHENA which Corey served as the Lead Producer and Director.

His last project, a Tubi Original, entitled TWISTED DATE, streamed at the number one spot on Tubi for several months and he turned his attention to the release of his psychological, thriller/drama ANGIE’S CURE which was the 2023 GRAND JURY WINNER of the world renowned, Dances With Films Festival. This title just released to streaming platforms Roku and Tubi in 2025 with more platforms rolling out in 2026.

Corey Grant recently completed the DGA episodic television directing program and is looking to move into episodic television while still creating and producing feature films. He and writer/collaborator, Lanett Tachel are in pre production for their newest comedic series now. This filmmaker prides himself on quality stories that are cutting edge and original.

LANETT TACHEL:

Lanett Tachel is a true multi-hyphenate. She’s an Actress, Writer, and Producer (SAG/ W.G.A/p.g.a.) from Prince George’s County Maryland, who’s driven by her love of performing, creating, and producing roles that feature layered and multi faceted African American characters in front of and behind the camera. 

After landing the role of ‘Dorothy’ in the Wizard of Oz while in elementary, Lanett was clear on the career she wanted. After receiving her BFA from Howard University, she moved to Los Angeles and served as a consultant to the legendary Ed Weinberger (Taxi, The Cosby Show) on the series, BELLE’S, starring Keith David and Ella Joyce. Lanett later earned a title role on the show and learned the valuable lesson of creating her own work. Following the series, Lanett went on to produce an award winning short, ‘SISTER SISTER SISTER’ followed by a series of narrative driven videos for a Universal Recording Artist.  She then went on to co-write and Produce the Suspense/Thriller Feature-‘ILLICIT’ which released theatrically and on streaming platforms. She co-created/wrote/produced the comedic single cam series, ‘PUMP,’ where she also stars alongside Ray J, Jennifer Freeman, Michael Jai White and more. 

She then served as Lead Producer and Writer on the Fox/Mar Vista thriller, TWISTED DATE, currently #1 on the Tubi platform. But Lanett is most proud of the release of her film ANGIE’S CURE, (psychological thriller) where she serves as writer, producer, and the title character. “This film speaks to me like nothing I’ve ever been a part of.” Angie’s Cure won the GRAND JURY PRIZE  at the Dances With Films Festival on June, 27th 2023 and released to streaming platforms summer of 2025. The film also received the BEST NARRATIVE FEATURE award at the San Antonio Black International Film Festival where Tachel received the award for best actress.

Lanett just completed writing a crime drama pilot which is currently being shopped to networks while she and collaborator, Corey Grant begin pre-production on their new dramedy/tv series.

Tachel lives by the motto, “Don’t Wait, Create” and can’t wait for the world to see what she’s setting up next. 

MUSIC SUPERVISOR: SHIRE’

Baltimore, MD native Shiré (pronounced Sha-ray) was catapulted into the music industry at age 17 as the lead singer of LovHer - the first female group to ever sign with Def Jam Records. Her groups single, “How’s It Gonna Be” was certified Gold after landing on Rush Hour 2 Soundtrack. 

In 2014, Shiré released the anthem song, “Cold World” featuring Rap Artist, “Maino,” in the BET movie, “Gun Hill.” starring Larenz Tate.  She then  received her first Assistant Music Supervisor credit for the movie “Illicit,” starring David Ramsey, Vivica A Fox and Dean Cain. In addition to supervising, she wrote and performed 10 songs.  In 2017, Shiré provided original music for FOX’s, “Shots Fired” starring Sanaa Lathan, Helen Hunt and Richard Dreyfuss. And in 2019 she landed placements in the BET Drama  “Family Business”, and hit show “David Makes Man.” 

Next, Shire Music Supervised a new TV Series, “Pump” starring Ray J, Michael Jai White, McKinley Freeman and Jennifer Freeman. Here, she reunited with Grammy Award Nominated Producer Carvin Haagins, while including veteran artist like R&B Duo “RuffEndz” and new up and coming artists “Elly”, “J Lauren” and “V.I.P.” to get their music heard nationally. 

Shire’ wants to be known as that “go to” music person in the film world who can deliver incredible music that will give life to any film or TV show as she continues her pursuit as a “quadruple threat” singer, songwriter, actress and now music executive. She is managed by CK Management.
